Jeff Steber Introduces 2009 Intense UZZI VP PROTOTYPES!
From Jeff Steber himself, August 28, 2008
RED FRAME: Here’s a sneak peek at 2009 Intense Uzzi VP prototypes. There are changes still to be made as this is the 2nd proto but we’re getting closer. Travel adjustment (like 2009 Intense Tracer VP) at 6.75 inches or 7.25 inches. Second generation VPP with new bearing Zirk system for easy maintenance. ISCG 05 integrated bottom bracket, 1.5 head tube. A nice leverage ratio in the 2.5:1 range, with coil or air shock. More info to come.
RAW FRAME: This is another test prototype set up with a Travis 180 singlecrown fork. Please remember these are still protos and there are changes in process to address shock fitament, rate etc. The welds on the dropout are set at 135 but use a chip that will allow standard, 12mm or Maxle rear axle configurations. This is a lighter setup…as you can see we are trying both.

This Transition Bikes Trail or Park was just built up here at The Fix. Talk about a hottie! White accents on the clear-coated raw frame with RockShox Argyle coil fork, Transition Revolution Wheelset and Deity Components throughout. Ready for action on the dirt and in the skatepark with the Intense MicroKnobby tires and dirt jump specific geometry!

You gotta love this whip...

World Championship-winning Commencal bikes are a hot commodity right now. The Atherton family (Gee, Rachel and Dan), Cedric Gracia and others are taking Commencal to the top of the podium in downhill, dual slalom and mountaincross racing.

Versatility in a mini DH pacakage
Commencal introduced their mini DH frame a year ago and since then, it has been taken to victory in Maxi-Avalanche races by Remy Absalon. The Commencal Mini DH is the perfect bike for lift-accessed bike park riding because it is svelte, but burly enough to handle rock gardens, jumps and drops. The race-ready geometry makes handling a snap in berms and flat corners. Check out the complete line of Commencal Bikes at The Fix Bikes.

You can’t help but be stoked by this…an old photo of the Intense Cycles M1 tandem that was rolled out at a Sea Otter Classic, long ago (at least it looks like Sea Otter). A company that makes some of the nicest bikes also has a lot of fun!

At least the person in the rear gets a cushy ride!
