Latitudes Freeride Mountain Bike DVD

Posted by thefixbikes on October 27, 2008

DH Productions newest DVD, Latitudes, is now in stock and it’s a keeper! There is a great vibe to the movie as riders rip places all over the World. All the best riding types are featured from downhilling & freeriding to dirt jumping and even some rad trail riding.

There is a great section in Latitudes that features the “10 Days in Utah” trip that was featured on Littermag.com. All the still photographs come to life in Latitudes as riders like JD Swanguen, Chris Van Dine and Lars Tribus ride the desert and dirt jumps.

The movie is shot entirely in HD format which means the quality is top notch. Good music and great riding make Latitudes a must-have for the upcoming winter blues.

Red Bull Rampage Results

Posted by thefixbikes on October 6, 2008

www.freecaster.tv/mtb and www.redbullrampage.com have all the news, videos and photos you could ever want to see!

Brandon Semenuk wins the 2008 Red Bull Rampage!
Kurt Sorge 2nd
Thomas Vanderham 3rd

Miscellaneous information: Gee Atherton dislocated his shoulder on his last run before his final run, Josh Bender was on site and helped Gee pop it back in! Cameron Zink and Darren Berrecloth had some creative and aggressive lines that seemed to go “under-judged.” Thomas Vanderham won “best trick” with a suicide no-hander over the 60 foot canyon gap. Lots of riders got knocked out or “semi” knocked out. Since rain pushed the finals back to Monday, not many spectators were at the event but there were still hundreds of people present who were working or part of the event. Incredible! Thanks Red Bull!

Saturday qualifying was rained out, so they qualified yesterday and finals are probably going on as this gets typed. Here are results from yesterday:

1. Cam McCaul
2. Brandon Semenuk
3. Gee Atherton – Commencal
4. Darren Berrecloth – Specialized
5. Kyle Strait – Specialized
6. Michal Marosi
7. Dan Atherton – Commencal
8. Cedric Gracia – Commencal
9. Paul Basagoitia (tie)
9. Robbie Bourdon (tie)
9. Cameron Zink (tie)
12. Kurt Sorge
13. Graham Agassiz
14. Mike Hopkins (tie)
14. Thomas Vanderham (tie)

Red Bull Rampage is on! The riders are digging and riding and everyone is checking their diapers. Don’t be fooled by the wooden features as the riders assure us that this is still a pure, big mountain contest. This video has some rider interviews with Cam McCaul, Vanderham, Andrew Taylor and Gee Atherton. Gee pins a line and blasts his Commencal off a huge step down and mega table top! Also check out www.redbullrampage.com for their official event photos.

Fix Bikes Rider on 52″ LCD TV Box

Posted by thefixbikes on October 2, 2008

How cool is this? Mike Howse, a member of The Fix Bikes team from 2006, shows up on a Sharp LCD screen TV box! Every store that carries this television also carries Mike Howse on his Addict with his Fix gear. Some might say having a mountain bike ripper on a product box at Costco or Sam’s Club isn’t that cool, but we think spreading mountain biking to the masses is what it’s all about!
